He is the man to beat in Moscow.

On the track, the British seem to be brimming with confidence these days. England’s Mirror is reporting that the current women’s marathon world record holder, Paula Radcliffe, isn’t mincing words about the prospects of everyone else but fellow countryman Mo Farah at the forthcoming World Championships in Moscow.

Farah is a double-Olympic gold medalist. He won both distance events on the track (5000m and 10,000m) at last year’s Games.

“At the minute, he’s really striking fear into his opponents and they are struggling to find ways to beat him [Farah],” Radcliffe said. “I know the training that he has done, the shape that he’s in. I know they cannot run away from him either. They are all struggling because he is so strong coming into the last lap or last 500m. He’s going in with a very strong hand.”

Farah is coached by Alberto Salazar, who says his athlete could go for three golds at the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

“Mo will experiment with the marathon next year and for the next two years,” Salazar said.
